The Acai Berry was blasted into the spotlight when it was announced on Oprah that it was extremely high in antioxidants and that Oprah herself incorporated the berry into her diet plan. The good news is there is some evidence which supports various claims for the berry such as high levels of antioxidants being important for reducing the cancer and there have been some great anecdotal evidence coming out about the Acai Berries effect on weight loss and appetite.
It cannot hurt to add these berries into your lifestyle if you have the money, however the same levels of antioxidants and nutrients can be derived if you eat a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables. However, in terms of weight loss the Acai Berry cannot be consider a sole factor and you will need to pursue another diet plan to see fantastic results.
