The Beverly Hills Diet Review
"Of course an entirely fruit based diet may sounds good to some people and there are some people who have had success with this diet in the short term. These people must love fruit and have no respect for their sanity or body."
From the glitter, glamour and star studded hills near Hollywood come a diet which has absolutely no idea about the reality of losing weight. Seriously, if weight loss was as simple as these “celebrities” would have you believe then there would be no problem for anyone to lose any amount of weight they ever wanted simply by eating nothing but fruit. That is the secret to The Beverly Hills Diet, fruit.
Of course an entirely fruit based diet may sounds good to some people and there are some people who have had success with this diet in the short term. These people must love fruit and have no respect for their sanity or body.
The Beverly Hills Diet is about as simple as they come. The diet claims that the papaya fruit has the ability to soften your fat, pineapple can then burn the fat off and finally watermelon has the ability to wash the fat out of your body. A notion that is absolutely ridiculous and of course hasn’t been proved by any scientific studies.
The creator of the Beverly Hills Diet is actress Judy Mazel. Judy claims that people have the ability to lose 10- 15 pounds in 35 days while undertaking the Beverly Hills Diet. This diet focuses on eating a single food for the whole day, swapping the food everyday to keep it interesting. One day you could be eating melon all day, the next day its pineapple for breakfast lunch dinner and snacks.
One of the biggest hurdles with this dieting plan is how boring the food choices are, not to mention the unhealthiness of not eating a balanced diet. The average person trying this diet will get extremely bored with the food choices and will of course begin dreading each day as the diet continues.
Like I was saying earlier, this diet is a short term quick fix eating plan. It would be impossible to incorporate this diet into your long term lifestyle. If you plan to undertake this diet (not recommended), then do not use it for more than the 35 days. The fruits themselves do not have all the minerals, vitamins and other goodies your body needs for long term health. Thus you run the risk of exposing yourself to malnutrition and other diseases.
Again like most fad diets, losing all this weight quickly by doing nothing other than eating fruit means that most of the weight you lose will be muscle and water, you may see the numbers on the scale going down, but your body will not look any better for it.
And of course lastly just to finally turn you off this diet, if you follow The Beverly Hills Diet I truly hope that you enjoy or learn to enjoy diarrhea. You see eating nothing but fruit all day everyday will leave your poor bowel system in a constant state of movement and diarrhea.
In summary, this is not really a good diet. Inadequate nutrition and muscle and water loss is not a great way to lose weight.
