The X Factor Diet Review
"Now thats not to say that restricting carbs while dieting does not work, however, one should be careful about super low carb, super high protein diets as you may end up depriving yourself of important minerals and vitamins."
It’s often the case that people who are unable to come up with an original idea for themselves at least have the ability to think of a catchy name using the letter “X”. Like the X files series which is now history, gone are the days where extreme low carb diets such as Atkins ruled the weight loss industry.
Now thats not to say that restricting carbs while dieting does not work, however, one should be careful about super low carb, super high protein diets as you may end up depriving yourself of important minerals and vitamins.
What else does this X Factor Diet has going for it beside its use of the letter X in the title? Unfortunately not much, This diet follows the same old roughage thatcutting out all carbs will help bring about a decrease in your blood sugar levels, and effectively stabilize the levels of insulin which are released into the blood stream.
This in turn should make the body start to burn energy by using stored fat in order to make up the difference. By controlling the dieters insulin levels this diet says it can prevent a disease known as sydnrome X, or also called insulin resistance which causes obesity.
The X Factor Diet consists of two different programs you can use and this all depends on the amount of weight that you need to lose, however both of these programs are almost entirely the same. Both promote a low carb, high protein diet. The largest difference between The X Factor Diet and The Atkins Diet is that the X Factor Diet informs us to avoid the butter and fried foods that Atkins suggests is okay. Instead it focuses on healthier types of fat which can be obtained by eating lean cuts of meat, eggs, chicken and fish. Unfortunately bread, pasta, wholegrains, beans, rice and almost all fruit and vegetables are gone, not allowed. (Which I believe is a horrible thing)
Following the stricter of the two diet plans, women should see a decrease in weight of around 4-12 pounds in the first two weeks. Following on for 1-2 pounds every week thereafter. Men are often likely to lose alot more weight, losing as much as 8-16 pounds during the first part of the diet. I would say that this diet is more healthy than Atkins. However, this diet is not a healthy approach for your body.
No studies have shown that diets super high in protein and low in carbs is healthy for our bodies. If you want to lose weight you need to give yourself good health. The weight loss will be a by product of this.
